Rosenkavalier, Vienna

May 2017

Vienna

For the first time Linda Watson sang the Marschallin at the Vienna State Opera in Richard Strauss' DER ROSENKAVALIER

It is one of the opera worlds most popular classical stage production (director Otto Schenk). For years there was no dramatic soprano singing the Marschallin in Vienna. For the audience in Vienna it became a special experience to listen to a high dramatic soprano singing the the beloved role.

Peter Dusek:

Besides Linda Watson french soprano Sophie Koch (in front) was singing Octavian.

Sascha Goetzel (left) conducted his first Rosenkavalier at the Vienna State Opera. Jochen Schmekenbecher (blue dress) sang Faninal. Daniela Fally interpreted Sophie (centre) and Peter Rose sang Baron Ochs.
